Hi, my disabled brother is moving in with me. I’m building him room in the garden and need to know what type of insulation to use I need it warm and soundproof for him. It’s got 4 inches walls. Any help is greatly appreciated

Is the rubble part of the structural foundation
Hi there. I'm currently wanting to up do my cellar. It's has brick walls all around the cellar. As you go down the steps to the left. There's a wall that has been broken down. Which then as uncovered a mound of rubble. That's kinda like soil material. The mound is probable just over a meter high. But does go higher towards the back wall. In the middle of this back wall there is a chimney breast. My question is can I remove the rubble. To create more room. The rubble does easily pull apart.
Connecting extension to external wall insulation
Hi, I currently have external wall insulation around my whole house and I want to add a kitchen extension, how do I connect the extension to the house, especially the wall plate for the lean to roof. All advice is greatly appreciated.
Window and lintels
If the windows and lintels need to be replaced on a 4 bed detached property, how much would that likely cost? Our Level 3 survey has flagged some movement on the property which has caused the lintels to shift. Any help is appreciated! Thank you.
Sharp sand & cement from joist support, Will it be strong enough?
I've used 3;1 Sharp sand & cement for a 3 brick high (2 by 2) post, topped with the mix & a piece of slate, to support a slightly flexing joist at the foot of a staircase, in preparation for laying Victorian floor tiles. These will be on Hardie backer board over floorboards. My concern is whether the cement mix combo I've used will stand the test of time? Thanks
