Can I use out of date plasterboard adhesives?

Hello all
I have recently found some old bags of plasterboard adhesive that I had been planning on using for some upcoming work. However, I only just noticed the dates say that the adhesive is out of date by a few months.
Will this just be an estimate and it would still be usable now or would it be problematic to use now?

"Hello,

If your adhesive is out of date i would always recommend that you do not use this as it could have hard lumps and it will just go off quicker in your bucket. For the price of a bag of adhesive i would just get a new one."

"is never good to use out of date plaster product, as when mixing it would set asap in some cases setting in the bucket plus would not have the right adhesive power"
