Can I paint a laminated mdf tv backboard

Question

I have a grey marble effect tv backboard on top of my media wall. I'd like to change it to matt black. Is it possible to paint a laminated mdf tv backboard ?

You can paint laminated mdf it’s all down to sanding to get a key to your board ,clean and I suggest you coat with Zinster stain block then two coats of Matt black to Finnish👍

I mean mean you could but would it last, is a different question, the paint won’t dry properly if it’s laminated, will take a load of time and paint when you could replace it pretty cheaply but just buying a full board and painting the board.

most things are possible but the process doesnt worth the efford and cost,  spraying  of some oil paint will be much better but it require more professional task
