I have one broken floor tile. Is it possible to take it out and replace it with a new one without damaging the others?

"yes ,smash tile from the middle then use old chisel work from centre to edge but be careful of the 4corners as there is tension, but first of all rake the grout out to take tension away hope this helps"

"Score round the grout of the broken tile as deep as you can go then start tapping with a hammer in the centre, by scoring the grout your limiting the vibration when tapping on to the grout and and onto the adjacent tile, keep tapping until cracked and get an old chisel and break out bit by bit"

"Yes, but I’d also investigate why it has broken because tiles don’t just break"

"Definitely you can mate!! You just have to scrap around the damaged tile using a flat stew driver. After then you finish to break in the middle the damaged tile and with a Chisel you clean all the space. *when you clean inside next to the tiles be careful to don't cause another damage. That's it.

Be happy"

"Yes, it is possible to remove the Broken Tile without damaging the surrounding Tiles.

Below is a Method (out of many) to Remove a Broken Tile (Safety Equipment Such as Goggles, Cut Level 5 Gloves and Dust Mask are necessary):

Step 1 - Remove/Clear the Grout lines around the Perimeter of the Broken Tile with a Stanley Knife (or a Multitool with a Grout removal Bit); being careful to not Chip (damage) the edges of the surrounding Tiles when removing the Grout.

Step 2a - If the Broken Tile is not loose: Using a Hammer, hit the Broken Tile Surface with constant firm strikes, moving across the surface of the Tile until you see further breaklines form, and the fragments loosen up. Remove Tile Fragments.

Or Step 2b - Using a Angle Grinder to carefully cut the middle of the Broken Tile, and then starting from the middle using a Chisel and Hammer to pry (lift/remove) the Broken Tile. Remove Tile Fragments.

Step 3 - Clear the Tile adhesive beneath by either scraping/cutting/or prying; being careful to not damage the surrounding Tiles when removing the Tile Adhesive. Remove any loose materials in preparation for the new Tile.

I hope this helps!!"
