"I presume you are planning on growing maybe something specific or may just want a general healthy soil either way I wouldn’t waste any money on testing if you are not sure just get a good quality soil conditioner I find mushroom compost is excellent had chicken and horse manure with straw etc totally organic and pretty much everything loves it at this time of year clear out your weeds and spread about a 2cm layer on top cover with black plastic I normally get some cheap damp proof membrane from screwfix then lift every now and again and make sure stays a little moist then in early part of new year uncover and turn over and you’ll be good to go"
