Just wondering what the best product is for cleaning a mantelpiece?

Depending on what the mantelpiece is, if it is wooden, a furniture polish should bring it up nice and clean. For other materials use a damp cloth and a Dettol surface cleaner to wipe over and then dry with a dry cloth.

There are so many options for cleaning a mantelpiece. We would look to see what it is made of first to make sure the chemicals are right for the surfaces prior to cleaning.

If it is brass then Brasso. Or fabulosa polish is brilliant

Hi Khalid,

Personally, I use a wire brush and a scraper to remove any buildup.
I then use a mixture of baking soda and warm water to scrub away any stains.
