Best gloss paint primer for wood

What's the best wood primer to use under gloss?

"Well I have used a number of under coats
My self I use a Johnstone undercoat before glossing
But I prefer eggshell or satin wood oil base"

"According to Lowe's, when you're painting new wood that isn't stained, you should be using high-quality latex primer or an oil-based primer. If your new wood is painted or stained, you'll want to use a stain-blocking primer. Older, more weathered wood needs a high-quality latex or oil-based primer"

"Alot of people use water based undercoat alwsys use an oil based undercoat and gloss but not everyone dies not use that anymore.
Oil based Satin wood is the most popular in these times"

You can use water base primer if you are painting internal wood, but if it is external wood then the best primer to use is weather shield 🛡"
