"Hi.

I personally like a nice lvt amtico/ Karndean and then design wise I like herringbone with a border or some natural stone effect like corris stone or Atlantic slate.

If your a period property the amtico with the coloured tiles and black and white border looks smart

This is all down to your personal taste however but I hope these ideas help"

"Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) is perfect for heavy traffic areas like hallways as vinyl is one of the most resilient of flooring materials. LVT is hard-wearing, extremely durable and scratch resistant, making it an ideal flooring option for even the busiest hallways."

"A lovely Parque floor is always a great first impression.
If you want to go one better, look at Chevron."

"With experience,I'd say it depends on the age of the property and size of the hallway.

If you're looking at long term I'd recommend LVT/SPC being a fully waterproof product and will have more longevity than laminate flooring for that very reason.

If you're wanting the wow factor, then I'd say Herringbone or designs that can be done with the Herringbone flooring.. you may want to ask the fitters opinion on this upon him arriving to survey the subfloor and making sure its suitable for any works to commence"
