B-rated windows vs triple glazing

Are B rated windows more energy efficient than triple glazing or double glazing? How do the energy ratings of A, B, A++ etc. compare with double and triple glazing? Are they comparable as such? I guess I want to know at what points the energy rating of a window (whether it be A or B) surpasses the efficiency of triple glazing, if at all?

"Triple glazing is primarily for sound not Thermal efficiency consequently you are trying to compare apples and oranges.
Ratings are based on thermal efficiency and that includes the glass LOW E glass is generally part of an A rated frame and adding triple glazing may reduce it to a B rated due to the glass element."

"Triple glazed are very expensive and not worth the extra cost unless you are in an airport run etc. go for a good A-rated window"
