Are self-adhesive stair pads any good? How well do they stick to steps?

"Yes stair pads are very good they have a very strong sticky adhesive which is really good as you don't need additional items added to keep it stuck down"

"Self adhesive stair pads are not really good as overtime they can get worn out and could start to come off so I would not recommend"

"Short term 12 to24 months they are useful but I would never recommend then if your hoping your flooring will be down a lot longer."

"Hi Michael
Dependent on the brand they can be good on a short term basis (1-2year) but it you want longevity out of the product better to choose companies that specialise in stair pads. They can guarantee better quality and harder wearing stair pads"

"I have used them before but only for temporary work or exhibition work.
I couldn't recommend for a permanent solution. Russell Flooring Scotland www.flooringscotland.co.uk"

"I wouldnt recomend these as they tend to lift. It all depends on the adhesive used but its best to get a full catpet installed and fitted."

"They are good but I’d recommend the more expensive ones because the cheaper ones don’t stick very well"

"Hello, me personally I don’t like them and wouldn’t put my name to the job. If you are thinking of using them I would recommend spending some money on the higher end ones, but again I’d go a different route than using them. Someone else maybe able to help you on them as I stay away from them sorry I know I’m not much help. Simon"
