advice on fitting one or two solar panels fitted on a small balcony

My partner and I would love to have one or two solar panels fitted to our apartment. We have a small balcony. Is it possible to have some small panels installed here? And will we need planning permission?

"They need to have direct sunlight all day to charge the battery, one or two may not be enough."

"Hi no you don’t need planing permission
As long the installation isn’t connected to the grid"

"You don't need planning permission for solar panels as they are permitted development. if your balcony is not facing south you won't be much effective. you can download a compass on your smartphone from App Store and check the orientation"
