What's the best type of render to use on solid walls with no cavity?
I have recently got my walls skimmed. After a day I noticed hairline cracks like you get when a window is cracked. Plasterer says it’s fine and happened due to the hot weather outside. He says it’s fine to paint after whitewashing the walls. Should I stop him from painting as I’m not sure if this is normal to have those cracks. I don’t want the cracks to reappear after painting as it’s a waste of my paint and time. Please help me?

We have a long garden and I'm thinking of building a completely separate man cave at the bottom of it. I know prices can vary depending on spec, but I'm looking for rough costs for different spec hideouts? I'm going to finance this so rough is fine just so I can assess if it's feasible. I'm located in Manchester if it makes a big difference. Also, if I got this booked in Jan do you think it'd be possible to have it done by May/June?
i am cutting a hole in a brick wall to put in a through the wall mailbox. The wall supports a brick pillar holding an iron gate. The pillar will not be able to support the weight of the gate once disconnected from the support of the wall. Is there a way to tie the pillar to the wall over the top of the new mailbox with some sort of reinforcement bar?
Is there any other way to cover flooring expansion gaps than using beading?
I would like to have pressured-treated softwood decking fitted in my back garden. I currently have a garden of 40 square metres and it is entirely covered by real grass with the exception of a small garden shed. We’d like to have the decking fitted just beyond the back door and covering an area of about 15 square metres. What total cost can I expect for this installation work from a professional decking fitter? That is between both labour and supply costs.
