Will high petrol prices result in an increased trade cost?

With high petrol prices, does this mean that tradespeople are increasing their prices in relation to the distance travelled to and from? And if not in most cases, what about where there is an expense for extra mileage?

"I have found a large number of suppliers are charging more for deliveries and have to increase prices on goods due to this and manufacturing costs. The cost of labour is on the rise too."

"This shouldn't be the case unless fuel prices rise to astronomical prices. We certainly haven't increased our prices."

"Logistics of a job should be included in the quote for works. If additional travel is required then can be negotiated."

"Yes it is not a very nice situation when everything is more expensive, compared with the same salary, so I am not happy"

"Yes, because the tradesman's cost has gone up for fuel, paint and any other materials so the cost would be passed on to the customer"

"It should not. The only variable may be the extreme rise in material costs if large quantities are required, eg timber, plaster etc"

"I haven’t increased my prices as yet but at some point if the cost continues to rise ultimately the cost will have to be passed on to the customer, we have already seen increased material cost in some areas that has pushed the prices up for the end customer,"

"Personally I haven’t increased my prices as I generally work locally to my postal address but if I was to travel further I wouldn’t really add any additional cost for the petrol price increases as times are hard enough for people without adding extra expenses."
