Will a new bathroom increase my house value?

How much will I increase the value of my home by having my bathroom renovated if I live in London? I assume it will depend on the size of my property? In my case, it’s a one-bedroom flat.

"A new bathroom renovation will not always increase the value of the property a great amount, maybe 20% to 30% of the renovation cost, what it will do is give the estate agent more selling power if you decide to sell."

"Hi, Good afternoon, not an easy question to answer without a doubt property value always takes into account a good quality Bathroom and kitchen.
So depending on the current condition and your plans re -renovation works will determine the projected value.
Are you selling or staying?
If selling your estate agent will advise on the change in value"

"Hi. Yes, any upgrades on a property will increase the value. But will definitely help regarding the quicken selling of property. However, you have to take into account the top-selling price according to market prices in your area. And how much you still owe on the mortgage. Be careful not to overcapitalise. Stay within a tight budget if any renovations are to be done. To optimise your profit margin."

"Depends on the amount of improvement you do. Make it top-notch which will increase the value. Also depends on the area. Certain places have ceiling on the prices"

"All investment in quality works to your property should increase its value.
As long as the quality of installation and tiling is of good quality then there is no reason why your property should not increase in value.
In London, I would estimate the average bathroom installation by a quality installer would cost approx 15-25k, and this is the kind of figure a potential buyer will have in mind when viewing a property"
