Why might you want to use light colours in a small kitchen? I heard once that it's a good idea?

As for myself the Kitchen neds to be Bright so what we are cooking as well as Chopping the recopy

You will want the area to feel open, bright and free of clutter and the lighter colours will give you this appearance.  Also using mirrored backsplash can help give the appearance of more space and reflect the light for you.
