Who can move my gas supply pipe?

I have done some research, but I'm getting mixed answers online and don’t want to ring round loads of people if only certain trades are allowed to touch it. Who should deal with moving a gas pipe?

"Morning Lauren. A gas engineer can move the pipework from the exit of the meter. If you want the emergency control valve moved, that would need to be done by Northern Gas Networks."

"Thanks Lauren for this very interesting and intelligent question. The only person or persons that can move gas pipe or pipes are gas trained, qualified and Accredited Safety Gas Engineers.
Thank you very much."

"You have to be Gas Safe registered to be able to work on gas pipework
If you're going to the Gas Safe register the website this will give you indication of your local qualified gas engineers"

"Only a qualified gas safe registered engineer to carry out work on a gas pipe. IF the gas pipe you're moving is the outlet from your meter to an appliance, you need a gas engineer. If the pipe is the supply pipe to your meter, you will need to contact your gas supplier or national grid."

"Good morning Lauren,

Only a gas safe engineer is permitted to move your gas pipe. Please steer clear of anyone who suggest otherwise.
