White powder appearing on bricks

Why are the surface of my wall bricks full of a white powder? Is this dangerous and what should be done about it?

"No it's just the or effervescent or salt petering . Mix equal quatines of water white vinegar in a spray bottle wire brush continue doing this till it stops. A quick cheep method."

"It’s not dangerous at all it’s just the salt from the bricks. You can scrub with soapy water or buy a mixture that will get rid of it."

"It’s either cold weather or the mortar not properly mixed as normally u would get this after a wall been built but fades in due time get some brick acid or pave cleaner after you clean off the white get some pave sealer seal it should do the trick"

"it is called efflorescence, salt deposits, nothing dangerous, it tends to be from the way the bricks are made by the manufacturer, not usually left long enough, it can be cleaned off but usually always comes back."

"It is probably salt coming out. Bricks get wet salt in the clay dissolves and is pulled to the surface as it dries.
You can wash it off with acid or leave it and will eventually go"

"Hi This is called effervescence, ( the salt in the bricks ) normally this happens when building in rain and cold conditions this white effect appearers but should dissolve in a few years time !! Should brush off with a hard brush !! Plus don’t think it’s dangerous. Hope this has helped u"

"Hi this is salt migrating to the surface of the brick,coming out the clay. This is not harmful. Wash off with power washer and may use brick acid,where ppe"
