What’s the typical cost to convert a conservatory into a room?

We want to convert the conservatory we have into an extension that we can use year round. What price are we roughly expecting here? Does the conservatory help or hinder here?

"A rough UK guide for converting a conservatory into a year-round room is £10,000–£35,000, depending on how far you take it.

If you’re only upgrading what’s there (solid insulated roof, better glazing, insulation, electrics, heating), it’s often £5,000–£15,000.
If you want it to feel like a proper extension (insulated walls, proper roof, fully integrated with the house), expect £15,000–£35,000+.

Does the existing conservatory help?
• Helps if the base and foundations are sound and you can reuse the structure – this can save a lot on groundwork.
• Hinders if it has poor foundations or thin glazing/frames, as much of it may need rebuilding anyway. In some cases, knocking it down and building a small extension can be better value long-term.

Short answer:
Yes, a conservatory can reduce costs, but only if it’s structurally good. Otherwise, it often ends up costing close to a new extension once it’s made usable all year."

"Have you a size of conservatory, has it got a good footing? Ive do 3 and on average with a flat rubber roof looking around £10,000 to £12,000 to bring it up to building regulations hope this helps"
