What's the best toilet?

Should I have a box rim or open rim toilet? What are the pros and cons of each? Do certain properties suit these toilets better than others?

"Hi, I'm a professional bathroom installer and from experience, the source of most regret with toilets is (to put it in as nice a way as I can) is the fact that some of them smear at the back. Sorry, but it's true. I have found that this usually comes down to how much they project from the cistern. The smaller ones tend to have a tight u bend which pushes the ceramic back of the pan forward into a tricky place. So my advice would be to go as large as you can, see the toilet in the flesh before you buy and take this often overlooked fact into account. Rimless toilets are pretty nifty too and comfort height toilets are definitely better on your knees. Goes without saying...don't buy cheap imports.
Hope that helps you Angie"
