What’s the best gloss for skirting boards?

I'm going to have the whole house redecorated at the start of next year. Is there a good gloss that I can use on skirting boards in all the rooms? Something that doesn't scuff/look old quickly.

"The best way to get a good finish on any woodwork is to first do a primer/undercoat. This will slow the yellowing and fatigue of any top coat. Any reputable gloss can be used maybe with anti chip or durable finish usually made by dulux."

"I’d steer away from gloss and go with satinwood.your tradesman is probably going to use water based paint as it’s more eco friendly and longer lasting.in my opinion the gloss paints are not as developed as satinwood.if you do go down this route johnstones aqua guard is the most durable product I have used although it does need to be applied properly as it’s prone to runs."

"Dulux Trade satinwood is good, it is a water base paint, pet friendly, nice white finish, and it it with primer, I do recommend this paint, just for a second coat I use small sponge roller for smooth finish instead brush whis is leaving tiny lines, good luck"

"Tbh we use leyland water based gloss it goes on well dries quickly (30 mins normally and leaves a good hardened finish .
It's more environmentally friendly and is also pet friendly as there is no smell.
It's also easier to clean your brushes as they can be washed with soapy water
Job done"

"You definitely should be using a primer before you start painting and I use Dulux as they are a well known and good quality brand"

"Dulux high gloss is a good paint. Remember white oil gloss paints can turn yellow over time. You can avoid this by using acrylic gloss paints (warer based) or use a satinwood oil or waterbased paint.
I hope this helps."

"I would recommend use Dulux which is a solvent (oil based ) for a smooth tougher longer lasting paint"

"I use quick dry satinwood paint for skirting boards. It is durable and user friendly so clients can touch up scuff marks if necessary.
Oil based paint is ideal for high traffic areas but eventually discolours and isnt so user friendly when job is first done. Speed of application is also a plus with quicker drying paints."
