What should my boiler pressure be

Just checked the boiler after putting on the heating for the first time in months, but I'm worried that the boiler isn't running at the right pressure. What's a healthy range?

"Hi. Between 1 and 2bar. But it’s important that pressure doesn’t rise quickly when heating comes on. If that happens you will need an engineer. Regards Kevin"

"It depends whether it's a condenser or pre condenser id top it up to just above one bar when it's cold"

"Your boiler pressure should normally sit around one to one and a half bar when the system is cold. As the heating warms up it’s normal for the pressure to rise, usually up to about two bar. If it’s dropping below one bar when cold, or going much above two and a half bar when hot, then it could mean the system needs topping up or there’s another issue that needs looking at."

"At cold with heating off, pressure should be between 1-1.3 bar"

"Hi Greg, you’re wanting the pressure to be between 1 and 1.5 bar when the boiler isn’t working…it will pick up a bit when it’s working but you don’t want a massive difference between standing pressure and working pressure as the expansion vessel is there to handle the expansion of water."

"Just over 1bar or depending on the Boiler anywhere in the green"

"Hi Greg

"Hi Greg

The boiler should be about 1.2 when cold . When the boiler is heating the radiators it will rise to around 1.5 to 1.8 .
If the boiler if rising to much to over 2bar there will be an issue with the expansion vessel . If the pressure keeps dropping there could be a leak somewhere .
Best to get your boiler serviced annually as these are checks that are carried out on a service ."

"Dependent on the boiler make and model
I would aim for 1.5bar"
