What kilowatt output do I need for my boiler?

What sort of kilowatt output should a boiler have for a semi-detached house with five residents (two kids, one teen, and two adults to be precise)?

"The kw of your boiler mainly depends on how many bathrooms and water outlets you have , and how many heating appliances you have ie radiators.

Then it would depend upon what system is the house running on , is it a Combi boiler or a system boiler? etc .

A standard three bedroom one bathroom can be run with a 25 kw Combi boiler ."

"A 30kw boiler would be more than enough for the central heating side of things but it’s best to check flow rates to get the maximum hot water output
Which is more important with having 5 residents"

"You will need a minimum of a 30 kilowatt boiler but go with the most litres per minute for the hot water flow"

"This all depends on the size of your house and the number of radiators you have. you should ask your local heating engineer to provide a survey."

"Hi
It doesn't really really matter how many people would live in the property what matters is the size of the property.if you could tell me how many rooms are downstairs and how many upstairs and what type or size of radiators are currently in property then I will be able to tell you the size of boiler you need for your property
I hope it helps"

"You really need to engage a Gas Safe registered engineer to call in as the kw output required depends on many things, i.e, what type of boiler do you require, combi heat only or system?, the type of house, number of outside walls, window type and area, type of floor, total area. Also the number of bathrooms and hot water draw offs is important to consider. The engineer will consider all of these aspects and more before recommending the best boiler for you."
