What is the best drain unblocker?

What's the best drain unblocker? I frequently get a blocked kitchen sink. I want a stong unblocker to try and fully clear out any blockages before I call in a professional.

"I wouldn't recommended any drain unblocker other what you can get on the shelf in your local store. Drain acid can be dangerous unless used professionally and would recommend you call someone professional in to clean your pipes to prevent further blockages"

"Hi tbh if it’s blocked outside there’s no products that will clear it if it’s only blocked inside under your kitchen sink there is a bottle called one shot it’s quite expensive but works good on internal pipes be careful using it those as it is a strong acid and burns. Hope that helps, thanks, Keith"

"Hi Elly
You need to be careful what you use on your pipework as some drain unblockers can damage it and you could spend a fortune on products and them not be any good. Enzyme drain cleaners are good at keeping your pipework clean after it has been unblocked. We unblock and clean waste pipes but dont use any chemicals and sometimes its cheaper just to replace the pipework.
Hope this helps

"If you keep getting blockages you are best off getting a plumber in to get to the source of the problem and resolve it."

"I would not recommend any drain un blocker as some are acids and harm yourself also corrode the pipework and the soda type will go hard and cause more problems then you already have. You should just call a professional like myself to clear the blockage using mechanical machines thanks Ritchie"

"One Shot drain cleaner.

But personally you are better off taking it apart and cleaning it out."

"Hi ,

Your best bet is to order online something called oneshot, it will do the job!

Good luck!"

"Try "One Shot" available in all builders merchants and hardware stores. Follow instructions and use carefully..Works in most cases."

"I would advise against unblocking bleach or other detergents as they can sometimes contribute to the blockage when combined with fatty waste.

Other self unblock techniques can include boiling water to loosen fatty deposits in your smaller pipes. Undo the U bend of the sink and see if the blockage is there. Check external drainage at the point where your sink waste enters.

I hope this helps."
