"We have many users for the timber/logs and the main one is fire wood for customers during the winter or fire pits during the summer, we sell them pre-split in ton bags, or we have made seats and tables for people’s Gardens, hard woods can be recycled into making furniture and so on"

"I take it the work has not been carried out yet. You can arrange with your tree surgeon for the logs to be taken away or cut to a size of your choice.
If you keep the logs they will need to season and dry out before they can be burnt and the time for this varies depending on the type of tree you have for example Ash only takes a couple of months where as Holly and Eucalyptus can take as much as 4 or 5 years.
I hope this is useful for you,if you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.

"Depends what customers would like done with them.

We have been asked the following from different clients.

•Split logs into small sections for firewood purposes for chimney/fire pits

•Larger trunk cuts to be used for wood turning or woodworking (carving/Art etc)

•Sliced to be used for placemats or coasters

•Alternatively we take them to a disposal centre"

"Each company will do something different, some will be chipped and used for biomass energy. Other larger trees will sometimes be saved and milled into planks. It all depends on alot of factors including size and condition of wood as to what it will be used for."

"They can be used for paths, animal bedding, or even composted down into mulch which can help your garden. However, there is a growing industry in converting wood chippings into biomass to use in power generation."
