What is a telescopic gate?

Hi, I've heard of 'telescopic gates', what are they and how do they work?

"A telescopic gate works on the principal of a sliding door. Its a according style gate that runs on tracks. So when it's fully open they will sit tight to a wall for instance where as a normal gate will open and take up room to a point. Most telescopic gates are electric but you can have manual ones depending on the size. Hope this helps"

"Exactly as it sounds, just a gate that folds in on itself, L"
