What is a F2 boiler fault?

What's this mean? Woke up freezing cold and the boiler screen is showing F2. Can I fix this myself?

Hi Karen. F2 on an ideal boiler is flame loss. It will need to be looked at by a gas safe engineer. Regards Kevin

The fault is gas related. Possibly the gas valve is blocked or not working at all.

If it’s an ideal boiler then it’s a problem with combustion. Make sure your gas supply is okay and if it’s not that you’ll need to call a heating engineer

F2 relates to flame failure, This could be down to several reasons but not something you can sort out your self. Please ensure anyone you use is gas safe registered. Brgds Paul - Primary Installations

F2 is gas loss on sine boilers. You can try to reset the boiler. If the fault persists then call an engineer.

On ideal boiler it mean a loss of flame sound like lack of gas issue (gas valve) 
Block condense pipe
Faulty electrode
Pcb 
Spark generator 
Fan or pressure sensor

Try resetting the boiler.  If it still doesn't start check other gas appliances are working. If they do not or you don't have any other gas appliances check thar you have not run out of credit at meter or its been turned off by someone. If that's all OK then need to call someone.
