What drill bit for use on steel?

What type of bit do I need to drill through a stainless steel tube that's about 4mm thick?

"Cobolt hss metal drill bit, depending on what size hole you want, you should always do a small pilot hole first and use cutting compound, make sure that the drill bits are sharp and centre dot the area you want to drill, start to drill slowly but fast enough that it is cutting, if you go to fast then the drill bit will heat the stainless and harden it, you can normally here when a drill bit is blunt as you will hear a screeching sound, stop if this happens and apply more cutting compound, if it continues then change the drill bit, stainless Steel is a hard metal and not like mild steel where you can repair it with a normal welder, stainless steel welding is done with a tig welder and is more specialist work and also you would need it to be polished by a company that does this, when stainless Steel is welded the heat causes a rainbow like burn around where has been welded, I would suggest that looking on YouTube would explain visually better to help you understand, hope this helps."
