What can I do to make a tiled floor less slippery?

Are there products one can safely use to make a tiled surface less slippery or is this not possible? Alternatively, if it is possible, could such products damage the tiles?

"apply some sealer that is nonslip, there are various products on the market and they should not damage the tiles"

"Yes, it is possible to safely use products to make a tiled surface less slippery, with the primary options being either a specialist anti-slip sealer as Alan said.

They make a microscopic, abrasive etch on the tile's surface that increases traction, particularly when wet. Crucially, such treatments can potentially damage or alter the tiles' aesthetic, as the micro-etching process may reduce the gloss or dull the shine of highly polished porcelain or natural stone tiles. Therefore, it is absolutely essential to always test the product on a spare tile or a hidden area first to ensure you are satisfied with the resulting finish before applying it across the entire floor."

"You can put some carpets or you can put something similar."

"There is an abrasive tape you can use but if that's not practical you would need to replace tiles with abrasive non slip tiles"

"You could use a few rugs or it is possible to get a non-slip sealer that is applied to the tile to try to check if it affects the shine of the tile before buying though."
