Are vented induction hobs any good? Do they save space and the need for an extractor?

Hi vented hobs are very good but expensive , you save the space for an extractor but you lose space in the unit below the hob to run the ducting on certain models. The ducting can recirculate into the kitchen or be vented outside.

Vented hobs are excellent, I have a neff induction vented hob, they are easy to use easy to keep clean .
You don’t need an extractor, the filters you change   Once a year and the other filters go in the dishwasher

If you’re planning on installing one, you will need induction compatible pots. A good feature is that the burner switches automatically when the pot is removed. They’re not really thought of as space savers but it depends on its size compared to your old hob.. No they don’t need an extractor, but all that cooking steam, grease, smoke is stored in a filter, like some cooker hoods and the filter never gets changed, leaving it susceptible to be clogged up at some point, and rendering it ineffective.  So change the filter as per manufacturer’s recommendations. If possible an externally vented cooker hood works best…

Vented induction jobs are good but also expensive.... If you buy good quality hob....

I  do find them good as I firred quite a few and for space saving
