Upgrading a bath

If it’s not possible or feasible to remove a bathtub, are there any other ways it can be upgraded, such as by altering the tub in some way while keeping it in its current position? What do you think?

"You can have it sprayed in new enamel & add an updated panel and taps to the bath 🛀"

"Yes, you can alter bathtubs i.e. turning them into a jacuzzi type bath although that can be pretty expensive, so depending on the material the bathtub is made from there are always better solutions but the removal of the bathtub would be preferred."

"The only way to upgrade a bathtub is to remove it. It can be cut into small bits and removed."
