Tile painting and avoiding the gaps

How to paint tiles without filling the gaps between tiles?

"The sealer will help protect the grout from the paint sticking to it, but you still should use blue masking tape to isolate it. You can also take a wide putty trowel and hold it against the tile or grout as you paint adjacent to it"

"If you're using a white paint, then painting over the grout lines is not an issue. If you're going for a coloured paint then the best way is to paint over the grouted lines and afterwards use a grout pen to re-whiten the grout. Grout pens can be bought from Amazon.

Please do not take my answer as a bonafide way to achieve the result you require. Like anything it's always best to test a small area first."
