"If you want mdf cabinets go for it.
Go with mrmdf. Very versatile, easy to paint and clean . Stronger than melamine if assembled correctly ."

"Any MDF cabinet should be moisture resistant. The main thing about them is that if preparation is done correctly just as strong as any other material . Standard carcasses from main suppliers are normally chipboard which in my opinion not durable enough if not looked after properly. High end kitchens eg Germany or Italian kitchens are normally made of Birch ply . It's all about quality and budget . So if on a budget but want durability and half the price of high end Moisture resistant mdf is a good option."

"Hi,
Mdf has been used for decades in the manufacturing of cupboards.
However I will not advise to install mdf furniture in "wet rooms".
Unless the mdf is made of a water resistant material."

"Hi. I think mdf is definitely more durable than chipboard and it is worth the price, but I think MDF is more prone to water soaking"

"Expensive but far more durable than Melamine. We do MDF in 22mm thickness in our Italian range."

"Most units are either made off chip board or solid wood, don’t think it would make a difference at all been made off mdf"

"Durable but suspect to damp. Coating any cut or exposed edges ie those against a wall with pva is always a good idea"
