Which metal is more durable, steel or aluminium?

Aluminium is lighter and will not corroded with rust .
Steel with carry more weight and needs painting to stop it rusting ."

"Steel is much more durable than aluminium, bridges , railway lines and tunnels are made of steel, where as shop fronts and windows are made of aluminium"
