Stamped concrete driveway overlay

I have a driveway that is concreted and would like to add an overlay of stamped concrete (so the original driveway doesn't have to be removed).
How can this be done?

"Hi from what you have said and want done I would remove the concrete depending on what the levels/heights of your driveway is"

"I would score the surface with stilh saw, Then the concrete surface should be pressure washed cleaned of dust etc when dry a covering with primer for concrete. providing there no cracks in the concrete it should now be ready to be shuttered ready to be concreted for printing not to mention reinforced steel to be laid before or dropped into the wet concrete"

"Don’t do it without removing the old driveway unless you have plenty of depth to build it up but make sure its well below your damp proof 6” below is recommended but you can have it less as long as the fall is away from your property with plenty of drainage.
Good luck 👍"

"The thickness of new concrete would make your existing Drives way a lot higher. Would not advise doing this way. Also printed concrete is not the best as all concrete will crack over time. For the sake of saving a few a £'s now will cost you alot more in the future.

I would go for blockpaving as it preamble. New or replacing driveway over 5 Msq now needs planning permission. If permeable paving you do not need planning permission."

"Applying a stamped overlay to an existing concrete driveway is an excellent way to upgrade your curb appeal without the hassle of demolition. The process involves prepping the old surface, applying a specialized thin cementitious mix, stamping the pattern, and sealing."

"In my opinion it couldn’t be done as the driveway would be too high both to the damp course plus roadside. Dig all the concrete up especially if it has cracks. Adrian Lowry"

"This can be done by making sure the exciting driveway is cleared of any debris, then put a thin layer of new concrete over the top ( to fill and cracks etc) then over layer with new stamped concrete"
