Sinking First floor

Who should I contact to fix a sinking first floor?

The first-floor floor of my terraced house is sagging around 1 meter squared between the bedroom and the ensuite bathroom.

Thanks in advance

"Hi, it’s likely you have a leak which is eating away at the timber and making the floor sag. You should inspect this first with a plumber or builder.
The other possibility is the floor isn’t tied in to the exterior wall properly and it’s moving. A builder will look at this for you."

"Any decent builder should be able to sort this out may require removal of ceiling below so could be messy but fixable"

"Hi this is something I can investigate for you and find a solution. Could be something as simple as a rotten joist."

"Firstly, very sorry to hear this has happened to you.
You need to contact your home insurance as they will send an assessor out to inspect the damage, this could prove a costly fix and you would be better off having their support or at least trying. Otherwise you would need to contact contractors within your local area to get quotations and the best advice on how to proceed with rectifying this issue. Good luck."

"I would contact a carpenter/joiner asap. Sounds like a damaged joist."

"This type of work is extensive and involves a lot of safety precautions before anything should be attempted.

A structural survey is a must. We can handle all of this in-house if you require advice and quotation."

"Hi,

This would be a joiner/carpenter you require. Hope you get this sorted, if you have any other questions feel free to get in touch.

"Hi William , if this was my problem at home and I wasn’t in this field of work then I would try to contact a builder to ask for some advise

Kind regards Shane"

"Most likely a leak I. The en-suite, a plumber is needed to establish the leak and a good builder/joiner would be able to help rectify the floor"

"First get your insurance company out and then a builder who knows what he’s looking at"
