Sharp sand & cement from joist support, Will it be strong enough?

I've used 3;1 Sharp sand & cement for a 3 brick high (2 by 2) post, topped with the mix & a piece of slate, to support a slightly flexing joist at the foot of a staircase, in preparation for laying Victorian floor tiles. These will be on Hardie backer board over floorboards. My concern is whether the cement mix combo I've used will stand the test of time? Thanks

"At a 3 to 1 mix it should be plenty strong enough. Possibly should of added a bit of s.b bonding."

"Yes Gaby it will, the first form of sand and cement mix, was from Sharp sand and these materials have a very good bond."
