"It doesn't affect the flow of liquids but definitely be extra cautious with items like wipes and sanitary products as they can get caught easily and cause blockages."

"Rodent barriers are made to let the water flow out and not flow back . There are plenty of good ones available and easy to fit . They will not all rodents to enter into the pipe ."

"Hi Karen, the rodent barrier dose not affect the flow if installed correctly, it is a push fit fitting that is designed not to have a lip on it so the water flows freely, the spring is small and has very little resistance when the water flows into it , if your installing this product your self the only thing to make sure of is that you have the barrier perfectly straight as being offset can cause problems. I hope this helps"

"As long as they are installed correctly there shouldn’t be any issues
The flushing of wipes will cause problems as the can get stuck on the barrier.
You need to make sure your interceptor has a rat cap as this is the first defence against rodent activity"

"No it does not affect the flow of water if connected properly It allows the water to flow natural and stop the rodents from coming into chamber"

"Hi Karen
Rodent barriers are designed to allow fluids and solid to flow in one direction. As long as they are installed in the right direction it shouldn’t cause any issue to a drainage system and will then prevent any rodents coming up the Draiange system.."
