"Hello, if I am not mistaken the Sonos system works better on a 2.5Ghz network. So say if you have the latest sky or virgin network - these standardly operate on a 5g network but you can split the networks to provide both 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz.

I Found this out when I bought 2 of the ikea Sonos bookshelf speakers now I have them on there own network with no interruption."

"You will have to set up a new instance of the controller, and then default and re-adopt the access point.

Once that's done default the sonos kit and join them to your new network using the Wifi settings for your router."

"You should purchase UniFi Cloud Key and install the controller on to that as it is totally independent of your laptop.

In addition, you will probably need to factory reset your Sonos devices."
