I need to have a new boiler installed. I'd like to have a smart, hi-tech boiler fitted. Are there any specific requirements that my house would need to accommodate this type of installation?

All depends on the location of your gas meter and where you want to put the boiler. Also what type of system you have?
It can depend on many factors, all new boilers are A rated and condensing.

Most if not all boilers are A rated. If you install a smart optimum start room thermostat it will take the boiler efficiency to A+ or A+++, as long as you have the correct filter and scale reducer for that specific boiler. You will also need to have TRV's on the radiators, expect for towel radiators or a radiator by the front door.

Not house related, but a vailant or veismen I would recommend, with good controls and weather compensation, employ an engineer that actually understands what temperatures the boiler needs to work at its most efficient, a filter and chemicals will help protect your system

Hi there it’s not so much a hi tech boiler you need but sophisticated controls such as hive or nest combined with zone valves give the ultimate control which is very clever but also easy to use
