Renovation costs 3 bedroom house

My parents house needs to be sold up, but they're struggling to get any interest. What's a rough cost to give the house a big update so we can shift it faster?

"• Full repaint in light, neutral colours
• New flooring or carpets in key rooms
• Modern light fittings and switches
• Deep clean and declutter throughout
• Minor repairs (cracks, doors, handles, silicone)
• Tidy the garden / improve kerb appeal

These sorts of updates can often be done for £5,000–£15,000 and usually make the property feel brighter, cleaner and more modern — which helps it sell faster without a big renovation budget."

"All depends what you want to do to the house..., id make sure the gardens are neat and tidy no missing fence panels and nice freshly cleaned driveway and flags, cut the gardens if any grass and de weed the drive... if people are greeted by a clean outside they'll want to see the inside more, id paint all rooms white to give they new owners a more blank canvass type of feel and update all the gloss work, make sure side aren't cluttered either. it shouldn't cost anymore than 200/300 to make the home feel new but if you after more bigger updates like construction sort of work you'd be looking more into the thousands price range it all depends on what you want."

"Good afternoon.

The cost really depends on what renovations you require. Normally a fresh coat of paint, carpets cleaned would normally suffice. if it would actually make it more saleable? sometime a new kitchen and bathroom are not required as the purchasers would be happy to put in what they want. Again though this does depend on the style, colour and age of the existing.
