Removing soffits and fascias

Hi there, I'm planning to have my home's soffits and fascias removed. Just wondering if these could be thrown out in a skip?

"Hi Bill Yes as long it’s a multi purpose skip
If the skip is for one sort of item for example soil etc then no you wouldn’t be able to"

"Modern uPVC, wood, or aluminium soffits and fascias can generally be placed in a standard skip."

"In most cases, old soffits and fascias can be disposed of in a skip, but it depends on the material.
• uPVC soffits and fascias – These can usually go into a standard mixed waste skip.
• Timber soffits/fascias – Also acceptable in a general builders skip.
• Older boards (especially pre-2000s) – It’s important to check whether they contain asbestos, particularly if they are cement-based soffit boards. If there is any suspicion of asbestos, they must be tested and disposed of separately by a licensed contractor.

If you are having new soffits and fascias installed, most roofing contractors will include removal and disposal as part of their quote.

As always, confirm with the skip provider what materials they accept, and ensure the waste is disposed of correctly."

"Take gutters off first and then the soffits.
Renew in plastic"
