Protecting a TV screen when moving house

What's the best way to pack a TV for moving to protect it from damage? What would a professional service do?

"The best way to pack a TV for moving to protect it from damage is to use an original box that the TV was bought in or a sturdy moving box that is specifically designed for televisions. These boxes usually have thick walls and corners to provide extra cushioning.

Before packing the TV, you should also take a few precautions to protect it. Make sure the TV is unplugged and all cables are disconnected. If possible, remove the TV stand if it's detachable and pack it separately. If you're unable to remove the stand, make sure it's securely fastened to the TV.

You should also wrap the TV in bubble wrap or foam padding to provide additional cushioning. The TV should then be placed in the moving box.

Professional movers typically use the same techniques as described above."

"Wrap the television in a protective material like bubble wrap or corrugated plastic cardboard. If you need to secure the wrap, a small amount of painters tape can hold it in place."

"We would recommend, bubble wrap, ideally big bubbles, cardboard wrapped around and taped together. This would then be wrapped in a blanket by our team and loaded in a tight and safe place in the van to ensure it cant move or wriggle, making it safe and protected.

I look forward to answering anymore questions you might have.

Kind regards

"Dear Sir,
Thank you for getting in touch.
The best option for your TV to be moved if you don't have the box, is to be put in to a special crate."

"Hi Charles.
As stated in previous comments. Personally if you do not have the original box or a box that it would fit in. I would double rap with bubble wrap and tape it to hold the bubble wrap in place. Then for extra protection wrap again with a couple of sheets this will help the prevent damage when strapping/securing in the back of the van.

Hope this helps."
