"A second hand kitchen can be fine to fit.But it can also more expensive in labour than a new one as you sometime have to spend extra time adapting it to fit."

"Dismantling , moving and then reinstalling , some of the units may be damaged or damp, depending where they have come from, how well was the kitchen put together in the first place, getting replacement doors or parts if damaged etc etc"

"Hi

I wouldnt advise on buying second hand kitchens,You are restricted to what you can do with them, most of the time there will be damaged doors and units,if it comes with appliances, you will be lucky if there is any guarentee with them.Plus most fitters wont want to fit it or charge more to fit."

"With a second hand kitchen you are governed by the cupboards that you have with a new kitchen you can put in the cupboards and tops you want there is so much more you can do with new kitchen you can make it your own"

"Pros
The cost it will be a lot cheaper
Cons
Condition of the kitchen furniture
Layout will be restricted to the furniture you purchase
Probably won’t have all the nice new fittings that are available in todays modern kitchens

So what you have to look at is both options so you can work out if the money saved is worth it."

"Hello Sarath,
I am kitchen fitter all my life and I would strongly advice to think twice before you decide to fit second hand kitchen. The units are usually damaged and the wall units are usually covered on the top with thick grease oil from cooking. The base units are covered with mould which completely smell of dump because the hard board are full mould and dump. The legs are also usually ripped off. Doors are also damaged. The repaint the kitchen gonna cost u lots of money
For the kitchen fitter to correct all the problems take twice time more than fit a new kitchen. Not mentioned that the base unit for the sink is completely not reusable because lots of holes from plumbers and electricians. "Fit reused kitchen=waste of money""
