"It's a type of wooden flooring, known for its colour and lines, very hard wearing. Although it's classed as a soft wood, it's hard."

"Pitch Pine flooring is a beautiful wood renowned for its distinctive grain, rich, lustrous patina and durable hardness. Manufactured with the same precision as our hardwoods, end-matched in long lengths, it is the perfect alternative to reclaimed pitch pine. Tongue & groove and end matched. Lengths upto 3 metres.

"Pitch pine is harder wearing than pine it comes from a hardy tree that can grow in places that a lot of other trees can’t . It has an orangey tinge to it that differs to pine . There are a lot of people having reclaimed pitch pine floors because of it coming out of old buildings as it was very common years ago"

"Amongst all varieties of wood, pine wood flooring is a strong contender in terms of its beauty.
This is a type of softwood that has been used for making floorboards for centuries.
It’s a common feature you will come across in most old homes across Britain. Pitch pine also has harder wood between its resinous lines which in turn offers more stability and durability.
Initially, pitch pine is light brown in colour and turns slightly darker over time. The colour and overall getup of the wood offers wooden floors a gaudy appearance."
