What is a perforated brick?

"Hi,
A perforated brick is normally an engineering class brick with holes that run through the brick top to bottom,when laid mortar will be squeezed up into these holes giving more bonding strength to the structure. They are also slightly lighter than standard bricks with an indent on top we call frogs.
