"Yes, you can fix anything on your walls internally."

"Yes, acoustic insulation panels can often be fixed directly onto a party wall to help reduce noise transfer between properties. However, the effectiveness depends on the wall type, the insulation system used, and how it is installed.

For the best acoustic performance, many systems use:
• Acoustic panels or soundproof boards
• Isolation bars or resilient channels
• Mineral wool insulation
• Double plasterboard layers with acoustic sealant

Simply fixing panels straight onto the wall can help slightly, but a full acoustic system normally gives much better sound reduction results.

It’s also important to ensure the installation does not create damp or ventilation issues and complies with any fire or building regulations where applicable.

A site inspection from an acoustic specialist or experienced contractor is always recommended before proceeding."

"Yes and I have done this myself. There are many products for this use like the JCW Acoustics Wall Liner Overlay Noiseboard 5. It really depends on what your budget is and how heavy the noise polution is. It will also depend on the age of your property as different property construction will mean a different wall thickness etc. So it's really a case of speak to a professional and or researching what products are available and what Db insulation levels they provide. I hope this helps."
