"The best result is to water down 50% of emulsion and apply to new plaster then give it two good coats of paint."

"Hi Joyce; it's dependant on size of ceiling etc, but usually for a mist plus 2 coats no more than £120."

"It needs one thinned coat and 2 full coats of emulsion so it would cost around £160 to do the whole job."

"I should think one ceiling should be doable in a day with mist coat and top coats depending on size. Day rates would be £100-£150 for a good painter. It’s not a tricky job just time consuming waiting for coats to dry. I like to spray my ceilings for a better finish."

"Hi,
This may in part answer your question.
This depends on the material placed on Ceiling area and also the size.
Most painters that I am aware of charge on a daily rate which could be £120.00-£150.00.
This could also differ depending on differences in the job ie, high ceilings etc.
I hope this helps answer your questions.

"Most decorators don't like doing half a days work, myself included.
Day rate is between £120 - £150 (Even when skimming, it could still need a bit of filling)."

"Standard £150 day rate. Should take a day if that depending on drying times."

"The ceiling will need a little prep work for example a light sand down around the edges to de-nib any plaster then a mist coat (watered down emulsion), then full coats of white emulsion. It’s a days work so anything between £120 and £150."
