What is an over-temperautre protection on an induction hob, how does it work and how can I tell if any given induction hob features this protection or not? What does this protection do?

"Over temperature protection on an induction hob is a safety feature designed to prevent the hob from overheating. One or more of the following will happen:

1. Auto shut off
2. Audible or visual alarm
3. Activation of a cooling fan"
