Outdoor concrete stairs

I’m trying to find out if it would be possible to get my front steps skimmed - they’re outdoors and are just needing a wee bit TLC. It’s 8 stairs and possibly the ground right at the front door and side of the staircase. If possible, a rough idea of cost would be great too.

"Hi Louise sorry but it would not be possible to apply a skim coat to your outside stairs. On concrete you need to apply a chemical bonding agent then a sand and cement scratch coat then once cured a top coat 2 days work materials and labour about £500 hope this helps you. Mike"

"I would recommend using a slab to dress the steps up. I have done this on various properties and always looks great."

"Hi i would think cement would be much stronger in the future for toughness and durability, the staircase can be painted after to give a fresh look , i would quote a job like this for £650 without painting but materials will be purchased by us and the best will be put in ,
Thanks"
