"Hi Jackie,
For regular office cleans in the UK, you are typically looking at around £1.60 – £3.20 per m² per visit, with deep cleans sitting slightly higher at £2.15 – £3.20 per m². London and the South East tend towards the top of that range; the Midlands and North usually come in a little lower.
That said, per-m² pricing is more common on larger sites. For a small office, most cleaners will quote either an hourly rate (roughly £15 – £30 per cleaner per hour) or a fixed weekly/monthly fee, because the minimum attendance time tends to be the real cost driver.
Frequency also makes a big difference, 2–3 visits a week is often plenty for a small office and works out considerably cheaper than daily cover.
A standard recurring spec usually includes:
• Vacuuming and mopping floors
• Dusting desks, surfaces and skirting boards
• Sanitising high-touch points (handles, switches, phones)
• Emptying bins and replacing liners
• Cleaning and restocking washrooms
• Wiping down kitchen surfaces and appliance fronts
• Spot-cleaning glass partitions and internal doors
Things typically charged as extras are window cleaning, carpet shampooing, high-level dusting, periodic deep cleans, and sometimes consumables (soap, loo roll, hand towels).
Hope that helps."

"Here’s a realistic guide:
💷 Typical Office Cleaning Cost (UK)
£0.10 – £0.25 per m² → Daily contract cleaning
£0.20 – £0.50 per m² → Less frequent (2–3 times/week)
£0.50 – £1.50+ per m² → Deep cleaning / one-off
£1.50 – £3.00 per m² → Specialist cleaning (carpets, biohazard, heavy dirt)
📊 Example
Small office (100 m²):
Daily cleaning → £10 – £25 per visit
Medium office (500 m²):
Daily cleaning → £50 – £125 per visit
🧾 What affects the price
Location (London is usually higher)
Frequency (daily is cheaper per m²)
Type of office (corporate vs industrial)
Extras (washrooms, kitchens, carpet cleaning)
Time (daytime vs after-hours)
If you're pricing competitively in London:
Standard contract: £0.18 – £0.30 per m²
Deep cleaning: £0.80 – £1.20 per m²"

"Typical Office Cleaning Cost per Square Metre (UK)
For small to medium offices, the usual rate is:
£0.12 – £0.25 per m²
(roughly £12–£25 per 100 m²)
Smaller offices or irregular schedules may sit slightly higher because fixed costs don’t scale down as easily."

"Happy to answer
I charge £20 per hour including cleaning equipment and excluding carpet shampooing, may I ask your location?"

"Hi Jackie, thanks for your enquiry.
For commercial carpet cleaning, pricing is typically based on the size and condition of the area. As a general guide, rates usually range from £2.50 to £4.50 per square metre, with larger or regularly maintained spaces benefiting from lower rates.
For a small office, I’d be happy to offer a competitive quote depending on layout, access, and how frequently you’d like the cleaning carried out.
A standard service would usually include:
• Deep carpet cleaning using professional equipment
• Stain treatment where required
• Deodorising to leave carpets fresh
• Flexible scheduling (including evenings/weekends if needed)
For ongoing or regular cleaning, discounted rates can also be arranged."

"Hi Jackie,
In my experience an office clean, per square metre is anywhere between £1.50 – £3.00 per m² for routine office cleaning. If you need higher-special cleaning, frequent sanitising, or difficult access/out-of-hours work it could go up to £3.00 – £5.00+ per m² .
Hope that helps!"

"Normally is per job, not per square meter. Same as houses. First it will be a deep clean, then regular cleaning become easier. My charge is £20/h."

"For regular commercial office cleaning, most companies charge the equivalent of £1.50–£3.00 per m², although small offices are often priced as a fixed monthly fee based on time rather than strict floor area.
Typical costs (small offices)
£15–£25 per hour per cleaner
£250–£600 per month for a small office cleaned 2–3 times per week
What’s usually included in standard office cleaning
Vacuuming carpets / mopping hard floors
Wiping desks, tables and touchpoints (clear surfaces)
Emptying bins & replacing liners
Kitchen cleaning (worktops, sinks, external appliances)
Washroom cleaning & sanitising (toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors)
Internal glass spot cleaning (doors/partitions)
Cleaning products & equipment supplied by the contractor
Usually charged extra
Carpet shampooing / deep cleans
Window cleaning (external or high‑level)
IT equipment cleaning
One‑off or post‑build cleans
Why prices vary
Final costs depend on cleaning frequency, number of desks/staff, toilets/kitchens, floor types, and access hours. This is why most companies carry out a site visit before confirming a quote.
Tip: Always ask for a clear list of tasks and a fixed monthly price so there are no surprises later."
